Our Background
Bena Charity Trust is a registered non-governmental organization dedicated to uplifting communities across Malawi through education, empowerment, and compassion. Established in December 2014 and officially recognized in December 2015 by the Government of Malawi under registration number TRNR-BQVTKKB, the Trust stands as a beacon of hope and service inspired by moral and ethical values. As a non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable communities throughout Malawi, and guided by compassion, integrity and service, we provide sustainable programmes that improve education, health, clean water, humanitarian relief and community development.
What We Do
Education, humanitarian assistance and practical community work
Education is our main focus. Helping people through humanitarian assistance is also a principal area of work. Clean water is an established supporting programme, alongside other community activities.

Humanitarian assistance is a principal area of our work. We provide food and essential supplies to people and families in need.
Clean Water
We support communities by drilling and rehabilitating boreholes and improving access to reliable sources of clean water.
Community & Skills Activities
Our community activities include support for small shops and market-based livelihoods.
